PostHeaderIcon What is leadership and what does it take to be a leader?

I wanted to get different opinions on what people believe a leader is, and what qualities an individual should have in order to be a leader? Do you think leadership is different depending on what organization you are working for?

All leaders have different styles of leadership, but some of the more common traits I would look for would be:
-Integrity, without that nothing else matters.
-Accountability, takes responsibility for their actions, and those of their subordinates.
-Decisiveness, there are times when a decision must be made, and made now.
-Trust, is willing to delegate authority to subordinates while retaining responsibility.
-Humility, is willing to admit being wrong, and learns from experience.

PostHeaderIcon What would it cost to go to a leadership forum withe people to people?

I’ve been invited to go to a world leadership forum in Washington D.C. with people to people. Does anyone know how much that will cost?

Very often events have an arrangement with one or more hotels for a reduced rate. In addition to hotel costs you would need transportation to and from Washington DC. A bus or train is usually the cheapest way. There may also be a registration fee for the forum and you will need to pay for food while you are in Washington.

Check out the costs above since you did not give information about the forum itself, your costs for transportation and how long the forum will last./

PostHeaderIcon Do you believe that Obama leadership is using economic recovery plans to introduce socialism to Americans?

People are told that they have to rely to the government for help and economic solution. Tax money paid are swayed to bail out problems that are not of the taxpayers. Failed, evil and preposterous businesses and acquisitions that flopped are now made as taxpayers’ obligation to rescue by the leadership. How much will the government figure to slam to taxpayers throats come the hyper-inflation time? Do you think the free-wheeling spending plan of this leadership will make economic recovery or will it just dip the country deeper into the tank and become a banana republic ready to be bought by China and Japan?

I hope that the Japanese buy America because they are much more intelligent and respectful than Americans!
